Of Mat Rempit and House Officer

This is a true story. Told by a friend of mine. A Medical Student who just graduated for her degree after 5 years of tensed and superb challenging. Yeah, she managed to complete it. Then she worked as HO in one of the gov hosp. One day, there’s casualty at the. A ‘Mat Rempit’ was brought to the ER after accidently crash on sumthing or so wut eva. And of course this accident happened due to illegal racing. So, this newly graduated HO was paged and had to go there and fulfill her responsibilities. As told by my friend, MOST (dunno whether it’s correct or not. I think it is) of the ‘Mat Rempit’ are involved with drugs. When it is involved with drugs, most of them would share their needles. Thus, automatically they would have HIV. Back to the case, blood test shows that this ‘Mat Rempit’ was positive with HIV. When handling a HIV patients, extra cautious measure need to be taken. This HO put on 3 layers of gloves to protect of herself. She had to take blood from this ‘Mat Rempit’. Carefully and gently, she does the procedure. Suddenly, only Allah knows wut happened, might be due to the pain. He kick off the HO and the needle of the syringe is accidently been – on her hand. Although she’s put on 3 layers of gloves, the needle manage to get thru of it. And automatically she’s now have HIV. What would u feel? After 5 years of ‘susah payah’ completing the degree and worked for 2 month, suddenly this happen. U now have HIV. The last thing on earth of thing that u dun wanna get it. How ur life gonna be? I’m very shocked when heard this story. Really hate ‘Mat Rempit’. Yeah, medical is full with deadly risk. Everyday, exposed with all sorts of risk. Yet, people keep blaming doctors when something goes wrong. Only noticed of a mistakes but dun ever appreciate 10 good things they’ve done.

Betul tu..doktor berhadapan dengan berbagai risiko. Risiko dijangkiti penyakit yang berjangkit, risiko disaman oleh pesakit jika tersalah bagi ubat and so on. Gaji sikit tapi kerja banyak..Bila doktor lambat bagi rawatan, berjela maki hamun yang terpaksa didengar..Itulah nasib seorang doktor...
