Tensionology

Gosh! this SSM Project give such a damn tension to us. Today, we went to da SOPD and manage to get the approval from Mr. Y. Alhamdulillah! During in da process, Mr. Y asked us about wut r da meaning of prevalence and incidence. I was like 'erm.. owh2..i forgot already wut r da meaning'.. BTW, Mr. Y is one of da CRC personel in Pahang. That's why la kot he asked us. Oh ok. After that, we went to da Ward to asked for da record. Unfortunately, they dun kept the previous yrs in da ward and all r sent to da Medical Record Dept. So, we went there. Again, unfortunately, they wanna letter from the college and approval from the director of the hospital so that we can get the record. Dush! sggh menyusahkan. Got so many procedures to get da record. But then xpe la. We went back to college and asked of da academic officer. Malang malang lagi, kami di marahi. Isk! 'Why know ur asking me for the letter. It should be done last week. Dr. S will be like singe or something.' Adess.. After this we have to hear Dr. S bebel la. Aduhai! Argh. Pendek kate.. This SSM is full wif TENSION! arggghhh!

So, here there's some helpful advice to cope with stress

  • Identify what makes you anxious and uneasy. Making a list of your stressors is useful. Immediately deal with the issues that you can change, like waking-up late for work in the morning or beating deadlines at the last minute. Forget about the ones that you can’t influence like being stuck in a traffic jam or not getting into the elevator because there is no room left.

  • Calm down. A three-minute break will do you good. You can go to the bathroom and wash your face, sneak out to buy a candy bar, or just breathe in fresh air. You can also listen to relaxing music, punch a pillow, or call someone. Releasing your inner feelings to a good friend is a healthy option.

  • It will pass; it will be over before you know it. Constantly reminding yourself that the stressful event “will end sooner or later” can make you see the positive side of things at a light at the end of the tunnel. At the same time, stabilize your emotions and think of what is the best thing to do rather than take your energy away from what needs to be done.

  • Know yourself. Ask yourself: What triggers my anxiety? If it is your job, then maybe it’s the right time for you to reconsider whether it is best to find a less stressful job. You can also make your present job more bearable by allowing yourself to get that needed vacation. Never tire yourself out by thinking about what can’t be changed immediately, like a new memorandum assigning you to a new work schedule that you don’t prefer. In due time, things will get better as you adjust to your work.
